Michael Phair currently coordinates Edmonton Pride Senior Group.

He is a long-time advocate for Edmonton’s Queer community. Michael served as a

member of Edmonton’s City Council representing Ward 4 from 1992-2007. He is

also a founding member of The AIDS Network of Edmonton (now HIV Edmonton),

former Chair University of Alberta Board of Governors and former Chancellor of

St. Stephen’s College, and a committee chair with Edmonton Homeward Trust. Michael

was trained as an educator and holds two master’s degrees.
