Alvin M. Schrader

Alvin contributes to EPSG through proposal writing, research scoping, advocacy, and awareness and education. He is currently secretary to EPSG. He serves on VOICES, a national lay advisory  committee for TREC (Translating Research in Elder Care), which is a University of Alberta research group studying all aspects of quality of life for residents and staff in long-term care facilities. He holds an adjunct professor appointment with the University of Alberta’s Fyrefly Institute for Gender and Sexual Diversity, and has published and presented on LGBTQ2S+ issues affecting all types of library services in Canada. He is emeritus professor and former department head of the School of Library and Information Studies, University of Alberta. He earned a PhD from Indiana University
