LGBTT Seniors Housing Notes at SAGE – January 12, 2015

Survey – Ann Goldblatt advised that the closing date was extended until the end of December and she is currently working on the analysis of the data. 128 surveys received. Further information will be provided at the next meeting.
Two key informant focus groups were conducted that were rich in conversation. One more to be arranged with Mickey.
Robert, Eric and Michael are meeting on Jan 26 at 2pm at Michaels and this focus group is open to members of this group.
Report to Edmonton Senior Coordinating Council – Michael completed and submitted before the Dec 30 deadline.
- Symposium Feb 24
Guest Speaker – Marie Roberson is unable to attend. Michael has been in discussion with Tim Johnston and he has agreed to attend. He is the Manager of Education and Training for SAGE’s (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders) National Resource Center on LGBT Aging. He will arrive in Edmonton on Sunday evening, spend Monday at selected Edmonton organizations, speak at the symposium on Tuesday morning and leave early Tuesday afternoon.

Consultant/Contract – Candice Smiley Create the Ripple Effects has been contracted.
Invitees – Michael will circulate an email to begin identifying the key people to invite to attend.
